Emotional Resilience and Wellbeing Mentor – Support Through Life’s Transitions

Finding a Title That Truly Fits

For most of this year, I’ve been going back and forth trying to find a ‘title’ that actually reflects what I do. I’ve chopped and changed so many times. Each one said something about me and my work, but none of them felt quite right – and some wouldn’t have made sense to anyone until after we’d worked together and the healing had already happened.

What I have always known is that I’m a mentor at heart, and that helping people understand, navigate, and soften their emotions is where I naturally come alive. So this title finally feels right for me:

Emotional Resilience and Wellbeing Mentor.

It reflects what I’ve lived through, what I’ve learnt, and the work I’ve done on myself… which means I can genuinely be there for others.

Why It Took Me So Long

When we’re going through a life transition, making big decisions isn’t always easy — or even worthwhile. We’re unsure of how we’re feeling, we’re not clear on what we want or need, and we’re standing in the middle of a life shift where the bigger picture is still forming. Our emotions can feel all over the place. We’re processing, healing, adjusting, and feeling incredibly unsettled. Sometimes we’re afraid of what’s ahead simply because we can’t see it yet.

This year has been like that for me in many ways.

I’ve still functioned in my day-to-day life. I’ve continued working, seeing family and friends, doing the things that keep life moving, but underneath that, I haven’t always felt ready to make certain decisions. Even something as simple as deciding what to call myself, so others can get a clear sense of who I am and what I actually do, felt like too much at times. My inner world needed space, gentleness, and time to settle before my outer world could shift with it.

Where I’ve Landed

Now that the dust has settled a little, I can feel this title landing more comfortably in my heart and in my work.

Emotional Resilience and Wellbeing Mentor feels like the simplest, clearest way to describe how I help:

Guiding people through the messy, uncertain, emotionally heavy parts of life;
Helping them untangle what feels overwhelming;
Supporting them as they reconnect with their inner steadiness, clarity and sense of self again.

It describes not only what I do - but who I’ve become through my own journey.

If you’re in a place where everything feels a bit uncertain, where you can’t quite see your way forward or make sense of what you’re feeling, please know you’re not alone. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes the most important step is simply reaching out and allowing someone to walk alongside you for a while. That is the heart of my work - helping you steady yourself, reconnect with who you really are, and gently support you as you move through your own life transitions with more clarity, resilience and ease.

“Life transitions aren’t meant to be rushed.

They unfold in their own time, and so do we.”
