The way I work might be quite different from what you'd expect from a traditional counsellor.
I don’t follow a set script or fixed method. Instead, I work intuitively - which means I tune in to the person in front of me and get a sense of what’s really going on beneath the surface. It’s not something I consciously try to do, it just happens. I can often feel whether someone needs to simply talk - to offload and be truly heard, without interruption or fixing. Sometimes that’s all we need: to be witnessed, seen, and held in that moment.
At other times, I sense when tapping (EFT) might be helpful — whether it’s part of a structured set-up, or just gently tapping as we talk, to help balance and regulate the energy system.
There are times when someone is stuck not because they’re unwilling to move forward, but because they genuinely don’t know how. That’s when a more practical, coaching-style approach is needed - offering guidance or teaching a new way of looking at things that brings clarity and movement. Often, people don’t even realise they’re caught in a repeating pattern until they’re gently shown another way.
And sometimes words aren’t enough. Talking can only go so far. That’s where creative, visual tools come in. Using stones, shells, crystals, or other objects laid out on the floor, we can represent parts of a person’s life - their inner world, relationships, or challenges, and suddenly they see what they couldn’t quite grasp before. There’s something incredibly powerful about creating a visual map of your experience. It brings insight, understanding, and often a deep sense of relief.
Because of my sensitivity and intuition, I’m often able to get to the heart of what someone needs quite quickly. That means we’re not going over the same ground again and again. We work with what’s present, in the moment, and in a way that honours who you are and what you need.
